*Olympus* is a sculpture by Joan Bennàssar created in 2022 as part of the project *The New Ithaca of the Mediterranean*.
The work directly references the world of the classical gods and the Greco-Roman imagination, a universe filled with myths, symbols, power and stories that have profoundly shaped Mediterranean culture.
Within Bennàssar’s sculptural ensemble, this piece connects Can Picafort with the memory of the ancient Mediterranean and the power of its great myths. It is a sculpture that invites us to see public art as a gateway to classical culture, symbolic storytelling and the relationship between humanity, divinity and landscape.
