El Desitj is a sculpture by Joan Bennàssar created in 2016 as part of the Ports d’Alga Marina project, the first phase of the sculptural ensemble that was completed in 2022 with La Nova Ítaca del Mediterrani.
The work is linked to the vital impulse, beauty and the power of desire. Desire appears as a profound human energy capable of driving the journey, the search, creation and the need to go beyond.
