*The Offering* is a sculpture by Joan Bennàssar created in 2022 as part of the project *The New Ithaca of the Mediterranean*.
The work focuses on the gesture of offering, understood as a symbolic act of generosity, encounter and connection between people. The offering also evokes Mediterranean rituals, community and the human need to share what is valuable.
Within Bennàssar’s sculptural ensemble, this piece offers a serene and deeply human perspective. It invites us to understand public art as a space for connection, memory and dialogue between the visitor, the landscape and Mediterranean culture.
