Casa de la Vila

The Town Hall has been the seat of the Santa Margalida municipal government since July 20, 1970, and is one of the most representative civic buildings in the town center.

It is a rectangular building with a ground floor, two upper floors and a flat roof. The façade has an orderly and institutional composition, with the municipality’s stone coat of arms positioned on the central axis, directly above the main balcony.

Beyond its architectural value, the Casa de la Vila plays a central role in the public and administrative life of Santa Margalida. As the town hall, it represents local government, municipal administration and the continuity of the Vila’s institutional life.

The building offers an insight into the urban and administrative development of Santa Margalida and continues to play an essential role today as a civic landmark.
