When traveling, one of the objectives is to maximize the time and go home with the feeling of not having lost none of the most important of the newly discovered city. It is a complicated task, so give a hand with this section.
In addition, around Can Picafort and the entire municipality of Santa Margalida there can be found most of the archaeological remains which Mallorca has to offer. Much of these remains are of considerable importance, both for its condition and its uniqueness.
Tourist itineraries
We propose a series of itineraries around Can Picafort and around its municipality, which will give you a closer look at our reality and our land from a different point of view. We have reduced to seven the itineraries that you can choose in all our municipality. Of these seven routes, three can be done by bicycle and four on foot.
Beaches
The municipality of Santa Margarita has a total of 4 beaches: the beach of Can Picafort, beach of Son Bauló, the beaches of Son Real and Son Serra Marina. It is noteworthy that two of these beaches, Can Picafort and Son Bauló, have the award of “Blue Flag” thanks to the quality services and environmental conditions.
Sport
Can Picafort is located in the center of the largest bay of the Balearic Islands, between two natural parks, and long white sand beaches, ideal for hiking. Among the three population centers we have more than 50 kilometers of road suitable for road cycling and many routes for mountain biking. Thanks to this fact, Can Picafort has become in recent years a center of attraction for sports fans.
