In addition to the clean waters of the sea, the sunshine, the warm sand, the wonder of our bay and the offering of our hospitality, we want you to be able to take a souvenir of our history and a different vision from that offered by the sun and the beach. The municipality has a large amount of cultural and heritage resources that tourists can visit around its three population centres: Santa Margalida, Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina. The entire municipality is the area of Mallorca with the highest density of archaeological remains, some of which are of considerable importance, both for their state of conservation and for their uniqueness.
For this reason we propose a series of itineraries around Can Picafort and around our municipality, which will give you a closer look at our reality and our land from a different point of view. We have reduced to seven the itineraries that you can choose in all our municipality. Of these seven routes, three can be done by bicycle and four on foot.
Routes Walking
The northern part of the island has an endless number of excursions to discover the Mediterranean landscape, both inland and in the coastal area. In addition, Can Picafort is located in the middle of two natural parks, the S’Albufera natural park and the Son Real park. The natural environment makes this bay the ideal place for a series of tourist itineraries on foot.
